Mission
Our mission is to champion every student's potential--guiding them to meet and exceed grade-level expectations grounded in Washington State standards. We believe learning should meet students where they are. That's why we create a flexible, compassionate virtual environment that honors each learner's unique physical, emotional, and family needs. Through district-approved curriculum that is thoughtfully customized and meaningfully accommodated, we open doors to confidence, growth, and lasting success--so every student feels seen, supported and capable of thriving.
Dungeness Virtual School is a free, online education school located in the Sequim School District. Dungeness Virtual School utilizes Sequim teachers who are Washington State certified teachers. Dungeness provides a variety of core and elective classes in a non-traditional manner through an online learning program. Online curriculum is provided by Imagine Learning (Edgenuity), a company that has a long history of developing online curriculum. All curriculum is designed to meet the Washington State standards as defined by OSPI.

Students
Dungeness Virtual School serves students at all academic levels, from highly capable to those needing specialized support or guidance. Dungeness Virtual School is here to offer options to students who may not want or need a traditional high school experience. Students are required to participate is state assessment and are required to meet all Washington State requirements prior to graduating and receiving a high school diploma.
Teacher/Advisor
Teachers at Dungeness Virtual School partner with students and families to ensure students are staying on pace and meeting their learning goals. Teachers will support students in learning through guidance, assessment, and evaluation of the learning standards. Students can interact with their teacher in a variety of ways so that each student‘s learning style is incorporated, which can look differently for each student.
